How UOB Evaluates Prior Learning
UOB reviews PLA requests through an academic evaluation process. The purpose is to determine whether prior learning is equivalent in level, scope, content, and outcomes to the courses or requirements within the student’s chosen program.
Students are encouraged to speak with admissions before enrollment so they can understand available options, required documents, possible limitations, and how approved credits may affect program duration or tuition planning.
- Evaluation is based on documented, verifiable, and relevant prior learning.
- Approved credits must align with the selected program’s academic outcomes and level.
- PLA decisions are subject to institutional policy, maximum transfer limits, and graduation requirements.
